What we've done
Detroit LWYL was founded in 2023, through a generous grant through Barton McFarland Community Association
Since then we’ve:
Spring 2024
- Raised $3000 through IOBY crowdfunding
- Established our website, purchased out domain name and trademarked our product
- We have Visible presence in various Detroit Communities, Barton McFarland, Avenue of Fashion, Live 6, and Marygrove
- Featured Guest on the Tracie St James Christian Crossover radio show WCHB AM 1340
- Participated May 2024 MCM Ohio Joy Tireman BC and Aviation Sub Division
- Electronic Billboard at Huntington Place, Downtown Detroit
Fall 2024
- 30-day Smart bus AD campaign in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties
- Workshop with Birwood House Summer Teen Program,
- “Having a Purpose in your Community,” and how you can make a difference
- Marched in the Rosedale Grandmont Community Parade.
- Alongside Rosedale Fun Litter Pick up Club
- October 2024 30-day Ad campaign on Smart bus Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties
